My Awesome Mollweide Graticule

This is my Mollweide Graticule. I think the hardest part of all this was listening to the obnoxious guy two computers down from me to quit his pathetic complaints and stop asking questions, which were already printed in the lab handout. Might I add, it was in step by step instructions. READ THE FREAKIN' DIRECTIONS YOU IDIOT! That was a moment where the Type needed to be capitalized and bolded, because that is how irritated I was. I feel better now.

Galapagos - so close, but so far away...

I was suppose to travel to the Galapagos Islands this winter for a Marine Conservation course, but plans changed. I'm posting this map because it was what I looked at to learn the geography of the Galapagos. You can see the latitude and longitude, without the lines messing up the image. What's interesting it the two features labelled Fitzroy Smt. and Whitmer Smt. refer to underwater seamounts that were once above sealevel. Over years, they were either eroded away or subsided.

My First Assignment! Oh Joy!

Take a look at my first assignment in GEOG 310. I kind of like it because it took forever to do. I become a bit OCD when it comes to digital art, and the paint tools in AI are really difficult for me to use. I have a bit of an abstract mind and using a computer to design what I'm imagining is frustrating.

History of Maps and blah blah blah blah

As a preliminary step in understanding my GEOG 310 class, I decided to research the History of Maps and Cartography. This website serves as a quick historical reference for students taking a mapping class.

You Don't Know Jack

I decided to post Test Your Geography mainly because most people have no idea where most countries and states are located. You'll be surprised to find out how much you don't know. Try out the United States Capitals map. See how well you do!

NatGeo Rocks My Socks

The NatGeo site rocks my socks! It is updated with fantastic information and new discoveries from regions all over the world. You can look at daily news articles, detailed maps, travel destinations, and beautiful photos.
